Traveling with a baby is not the easiest journey in the world, but it is 100% doable and SO fun! I have slowly found some baby travel products that we like to use, and I hope you find a few of them helpful for your family as well.
We always planned to travel with kids, and I feel like if you are able, it is the best gift you can give them! These items come in handy even for a quick trip to the store, or little day trips and are perfect to always have in your diaper bag.
This change pad doesn’t take up much space, has a magnetic closure and can be thrown in the washer machine. It can be easily wiped down for on the go as well. Makes changing on the go SO easy.
Although these diaper bag dispensers are not the most environmentally friendly, they are incredibly convenient when you are changing a diaper and don’t have a trash can nearby. Keep it in your diaper bag or clip on the outside. When I run out of the ones I have, I plan to switch to one that breaks down better – this one or here is another great option.
I have the wabi sterilizer at my house, but obviously I can’t bring that with me for faraway trips. These bags are easy to use for bottles, pumping products, pacifiers etc.
Not a necessity, but if you want some place to dry your bottles on the go, this little set also comes with a bottle cleaning brush. After disinfecting with the Medela Bags, this works great to wait for your items to dry (a dish towel works great too, overpacking can be so easy with a baby)!
If you follow me over on Instagram, you know we love these! You can clip them to a car seat or stroller and they will love playing with them! You can also clip toys or a pacifier to it as well. The lesson here, a toy that your bay loves and entertains them for quite a while.
6. Baby Bjorn Travel Crib Light & sheets
Finding a travel crib wasn’t easy, but I wanted one that was simple and efficient to set up/break down. We had a gift card, which is why we splurged on this one and we are pretty happy with it. It is smaller than your typical “pack and play” but great for sleeping on the go. Make sure to get the sheets that come with it as well!
This video helped us decide between the Baby Bjorn and Lotus.
Since we use a sound machine at home for every nap and at bedtime, having a smaller, travel option is great! Like many of these baby travel products, we carry this with us even for “walk naps”.
8. Boogie Wipes
Sometimes tissues just don’t suffice, and these are great to always have while traveling and in your diaper bag even for smaller trips. I use these daily at home, too.
Pacifiers can be hit or miss, but having a case for them (especially one that is easily washable) is pretty convenient. It can be hooked on your diaper bag or thrown in. I can fit two of our go-to pacifiers in one.
10. Baby Bjorn Carrier or sling
Both of these carrier are great – I like the Baby Bjorn for hiking or more “active” events and the Wildbird is nice for a plane ride, or if you are limited with space.
Bonus baby travel product:
Maxi-Cosi Compact Travel Stroller
We were looking for a smaller and lighter stroller for airports, and we ultimately chose a Maxi-Cosi compact stroller. It has some small storage, only weighs 14 pounds, and can fit in an overhead compartment (I have only gate-checked it, but like that this is an option).
