In a city full of Tapas bars and numerous establishments to choose from – it’s hard to pick the best restaurants in Seville, Spain. Traveling to a city is all about balance so in the midst of the often cheaper, yet still delicious Andalucian food. So if you are looking for a fancier night out, I hope this list of best dinner restaurants in Seville helps!
If you are looking for a guide to Seville, I have one here.
Truth be told, when I first traveled to Spain ten years ago, I didn’t have many good things to say about the food. History, architecture, and charm? Yes. It was just the dining scene that didn’t stand out to me. If I am being fair, I was a few years out of college and my budget was a tad bit different. Additionally, I now feverishly search out places and chefs that inspire me – thanks to this tiny corner of the internet.
It turns out traditional or modern tapas are incredible when in the right setting, and Seville has it all in abundance. Whether you are going on a date night, solo dinner (even with kids) – these restaurants in Seville are perfect. With a note on kids – I rarely think twice about taking my kids to nice restaurants in Spain (they often have high chairs and are so amazing with families). On a few occasions I will try to go without little ones (like a fancier tasting menu).
Where to eat: Best dinner restaurants in Seville, Spain
T Espacio Gastronómico
T Espacio proves that dining is such a huge (and possibly the best) part of travel. I always feel inspired and not to be over dramatic – brought to tears – when I try places like this. We opted for the 16 course seasonal tasting menu and one of the drink pairings as well. The wines they chose with each dish were exquisite – red, white, sherry and ending with my personal favorite, cava. When I think of some of the best dinner restaurants in Seville…this is high on the list.
Barra Baja Restaurante
Amazing presentation, food, ambience and use of local flavors. Make a reservation to enjoy lunch or dinner here.
Sal Gorda Halo
I am not sure how I happened upon this recommendation and I have yet to go, but I passed it along to some family members who only had amazing things to say. Their menu dishes are uniquely presented and consists of fresh fish and vegetables. Their tapas are described by them as “iconic” and from what I have seen and heard I have to agree. They are in the Jewish Quarter next to the Alcazar so you will most likely be in that area during your trip. Sal Gordo Halo would be perfect for a nice lunch or fancy dinner.
La Casa del Tigre
Innovative and modern dishes yet still traditional. There Papas Bravas were impeccable and presented in a way I had never experienced before. The bar area was also impressive, if you wanted to grab a drink.
Picantón Sevilla
This is where I had one of the best ceasar salads (on the menu it’s the grilled lettuce hearts with ceasar sauce and crispy chicken) of my life. I know, not necessarily traditional, but it needed to be noted. They are known for the food they grill, specifically chicken. I really enjoyed their menu options and it’s set in a small street with a wonderful ambiance.
El Pinton
An array of starters accompanied by rice, meat and seafood dishes. Also a wonderful spot for what looks like an incredible brunch.
Torres y Garcia
I had the pleasure of going on a date (with myself) to Torres y Garcia and the server had to politely tell me I was ordering too much. The menu is a good size with everything from vegan pizza, to incredible octopus, meat dishes and an array of small plates.
Restaurante De La O
True Andalucian dishes made with the freshest ingredients from all over Spain. Restaurante De La O is set in the quaint and beautiful Triana neighborhood and although it is still on my list, I would make a reservation along the river if possible.
Basque Eneko
Another place proving to me yet again I NEED to visit the north of Spain. Their tasting menu had the best portions, some leaving me wanting more. A wonderful harmony of Basque country and Andalusia set in a beautiful hotel.
