There are a numerous coffee shops in Riverside/Avondale – but as a local, there are some I frequent more than the rest. If you are looking for a craft coffee spot with homemade syrups, large outside seating, or a variety of menu options – this small (but mighty list) should have you covered.

Brew Five Points
Five Points is a great section of Riverside with a rooftop bar, a plethora of wonderful dining experiences and my favorite retro movie theater. If I was to suggest a spot to sit with a matcha lemonade or oat milk latte – Brew Five Points is your spot. My personal favorite item on the menu is their sweet potato and chorizo breakfast taco with an iced oat milk latte).
Bold Bean
A powerhouse in the city of Jacksonville, I consider Bold Bean a must visit in the city. Riverside was their first location they called home, but they serve up coffee in Jax Beach and San Marco. Although an Oat Milk latte (with one of their delicious homemade syrups) is my go-to, their tea collection is also phenomenal.
Social House Coffee
Social House has been open for a little over a year, and this small coffee shop is inviting, and the perfect stop for a quick to-go cup or to (as the name suggests), socialize with a friend over one of their scones. Social House (like all of these on this list) is committed to the awesome community in Jax!
Southern Grounds and Co.
Check out the newest Southern Grounds location in Avondale, or you can also visit them in Atlantic Beach and San Marco. The inside seating area has PLENTY of space as well as a cute set up on St. Johns Ave. This is a great option for brunch (Eggs Benedict is a personal favorite) or happy hour – they have it all!
