All the wonderful and diverse neighborhoods that exist in Jacksonville means many potential date night restaurants. Choosing may be the hard part. Rooftops with city views, chef adventure tasting menus or simply a cozy Italian spot are all options when it comes to dinner date spots in Jacksonville, FL. Although we still have some on our list, we have been able to eat and drink at quite a few, so I hope this list is helpful as you search for the perfect restaurant to enjoy fine dining of the Bold City.
Primi Piatti
Our favorite Italian place! I love this quaint spot in Riverside – the hospitality and food are unmatched.
Norikase
Ideal for a big celebration – their Omikase tasting (and sake tasting) are superb but you can dine in with their normal menu as well.
Bar Molino
Spanish restaurant with an always changing menu of tapas, wonderful cocktail list and bottle shop.
Estrella Cocina
Rooftop dining most often equates to the perfect date atmosphere – especially with a gorgeous urban setting around you. Enjoy their margaritas and location for the evening.
Rue Saint Marc
The cocktails and the menu will not disappoint at this French Restaurant. We recently order from the Dinner and wine tasting menu – a wonderful experience. I have a date night idea that includes San Marco as a part of my Jax date night series as well.
Taverna
Another wonderful Italian restaurant set in quaint downtown San Marco – go for their wine list and stay for the delicious food.
Josephine
Avondale’s newest restaurant and well worth the hype. Although and Italian menu, they don’t shy away from innovative dishes matched with a stellar cocktail list.
Orsay
Orsay is the place I recommend often for happy hour (amazing food and great prices) but they also have one of my favorite meals -their beef stroganoff.
Flying Iguana
Fortunately for all of us, Flying Iguana is now open in two locations – Atlantic Beach and Avondale. Now you have no excuse to enjoy a blood orange margarita and table side quac.
Matthews Restaurant
Matthews has been on our list for awhile, and we finally were able to dine and enjoy a few menu items (and some glasses from the wine list).
Black Sheep
Another rooftop with a great location to all that Five Points has to offer! Also a sister restaurant to Orsay and Bellwether mentioned above.
Cowford Chophouse
Downtown Jax will always be one of my favorite places in this city, so a date night downtown is always ideal! Paired with breweries and cocktail bars, Cowford is a perfect place for a special event (start with drinks on their rooftop).
Columbia Restaurant
Although I am not a St. Augustine expert, I wanted to include Columbia because we had such a great experience there. If you are in the historical city, it is a great option!
