Prior to moving to Spain I didn’t realize that along with the city and coastal views, there are beautiful mountain scapes and quaint village towns. As tourism in Spain continues to boom, so does the incredible hotel scene in all regions of the country. If you find yourself in Andalucía, and more specifically Seville – there is a perfect city escape to balance the busyness of sightseeing. La Dehesa De Don Pedro, only an hour outside of the Seville, lends itself to not only first class service, but complete relaxation.
We checked into the family room – two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with so much space. The beds were comfortable and as I already knew – with a warm and modern design. No one room at La Dehesa De Don Pedro is alike, and each has vintage items with no detail missed. The rooms all have heated floors, making it a wonderful winter getaway as well.
The hotel was created for a rejuvenating visit – with multiple lounges to read or sip on coffee, as well as their spa and jacuzzi room looking out to beautiful curated gardens. My favorite spot of the hotel was the outdoor seating next to the restaurant. The sunsets were stunning and the Mediterranean inspired decor takes center stage.
You have everything you need all within the grounds. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served on site at their restaurant – Las Mesas. La Dehesa De Don Pedro works with local farmers and suppliers in the region, and their menu is divine – perhaps the best croquettes I have eaten. I enjoyed trying the local wine, and appreciated their amazing service.
If you are looking for any excursions, they offer activities such as stargazing, horse riding and hiking for longer stays.
The greatest view of course is sitting by the infinity pool that looks to the mountains. I could have laid by the pool all day, especially with their bar and seating area in the shade. Order a Tinto de Verano and relax with nature (or start your morning with their gym looking to the pool).
Reserve through their website or booking.com.
