The makings of a perfect bath at home is simple, only needing a few items. Some may disagree, but I find baths so relaxing and one of the ultimate ways to practice self-care. Although self-care seems to be a “buzzword” for the ages – it is important! An extra hour of sleep, drinking more water, painting your nails – whatever that means to you.
After a few people shared their love for some of my bath accessories over on instagram, I figured why not share some of my favorite bath must-haves here. As we all try and do our part and stay at home, why not relax in the fanciest way? Cue the candles, music and bubbles.
The Makings of a perfect bath at home
1. Bath Pillow
A Christmas present that I took way too long to use. It really is a game changer when it comes to baths. You can read or relax much easier and really is comfortable.
2. Bath Tray
The perfect bath accessory to hold your tea (or wine), phone, book or anything else you prefer during a bath. It also comes with a stand for a book or iPad (they really think of everything).
3. Dr Teal’s Eucalyptus & Spearmint Epsom Bath Foam
I have officially graduated from Mr. Bubbles (I wish I was kidding) and moved onto the wonderful scent and feel of Dr. Teal’s. Without drying out your skin, it is the perfect product for a great bubble bath. The real question is why I felt the need to use Mr. Bubbles for so long.
4. Candle
This has been my go to bath candle for awhile – picked it up at Marshalls and it is the ideal, clean scent. If you are looking for clean candle options, check out this blog post on non toxic candles by one of my favorite bloggers.
5. Face masks (or your favorite self care product)
As you can tell from my last blog post, I have been trying to find little joys and pick me-ups while being inside more than normal. My two newest face masks – this triple threat one by Kalos, and a moisturizing mask by Follain have been my two favorites.
What makes a perfect bath for you? A book or glass of wine? (P.S. the bath tray has a perfect wine glass slot so it can stay in place)! Let me know in the comments or over on Instagram.
